HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO SHIFT MY BUILDING?
It is very hard to give an accurate price over the phone of how much it will cost to relocate a building. There are numerous factors to take into consideration such as the route traveled; the size (width, length, height) of the house and if the load will need to be escorted by power companies. Also the degree of difficulty in getting the house off the existing site and to the new site needs to be factored in. We are more than happy to provide you a written quote at no cost to you, once we have done a site visit and route check.
WHO OBATAINS ANY PERMITS REQUIRED?
Poyner Houselifting will obtain the permits required for when the building is being transported to your site i.e. Telecom, Power Board, Railway and Land Transport permits. However, clients are responsible for obtaining all council consents - demolition, building and resource consents. PHL will recommend an architect who will follow it through to the issuing of the consent.
IF WE PURCHASE A BUILDING FROM YOU DO THE APPLIANCES COME WITH THE HOUSE?
Some of the houses have stoves, hot water cylinders, carpet, etc - others don't. So, "what you see is what you get".
DOES THE BUILDING TWIST OR MOVE MUCH?
All buildings move to a certain degree, but the majority just need a small amount of plastering if at all. |
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ONCE I HAVE PURCHASED A BUILDING, FOR IT TO BE SHIFTED TO THE SITE?
It depends on how long it takes for Council to issue all your consents. If you have a professional like an Architect drawing your plans the process usually runs smoothly and your building consent should be issued fairly quickly. We can direct you to professional people in your area who will be able to assist you with lodging your consents. Once your Council building consent has been issued, we will then advise of a date your building will be shifted.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD ANY INSURANCE CLAIMS?
The
only insurance claims we have had are for chipped windscreens. We have never had a house fall off or had any claims with our vehicles. We are happy to refer you to our insurance broker whom have been with us since our business started.
